Join us for a community conversation on artificial intelligence (AI), learning, libraries and the future with Dr. Anthony Chow, Professor and Director of the San Jose State University iSchool. Dr. Chow will discuss how AI is impacting higher education as well as the promise and pitfalls this emerging technology poses for all of us. Also, hear from other community members on how they see AI in their lives. What impact is it already having on higher education? How will it change the workforce demands in the future? What are the primary pro's and con's? How do we best use it while protecting ourselves?
Dr. Anthony Chow is the Director and a full professor at the School of Information at San Jose State University and has been working in the LIS field for the past 24 years. His areas of expertise include technology integration, leadership and management, information seeking behavior, and analytics and informatics. As the head of the largest MLIS program in the world, an academic researcher, and expert in information science, Dr. Chow is grappling with the current and future impact of AI in all aspects of society.
