Summer Reading Program Kick-Off
The Summer Reading Program kicks off with an all-ages extravaganza in the park. Enjoy music, lawn games and treats, featuring musical guests Cascada de Flores and Cumbia Paradiso. We'll aso have a table where everyone in the family can sign up for a summer of reading and rewards.
Cascada de Flores tells stories told in Spanish & English, using song, a variety of musical instruments, dance, theater and characters of traditional Mexican & Latin American cultures. Cumbia Paradiso is an exciting band from the Bay Area that delivers a blast of danceable sonic energy. Their musical focus is cumbia chicha, the psychedelic cumbia style from the South American Andes mountains.
