In 1924, local lumber merchant Earl Davenport Minton joined forces with banker Bert Holeman. Together, they purchased a large tract of land adjacent to the diverse, mostly agricultural town of Mountain View, California, smack in the middle of today’s Silicon Valley. The resulting subdivision, designed and built by The Minton Company, would eventually realize Minton’s vision of a cozy bungalow community complete with modern amenities. Palmita Park was born.
