Overcoming Stress and Anxiety During These Challenging Times
Join us from home for an online meditation talk with Dr Manish Saggar.
We live in a time that often feels confusing and stressful. People are more anxious, and struggle to find ways to stay positive. Meditation can make a difference. By tapping into the power of Meditation, we can learn a powerful technique to calm the body and the mind. Participants will learn a simple meditation technique that can improve personal well-being.
Dr. Manish Saggar is an Asst. Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Stanford University School of Medicine. His research focuses on the intersections of cognitive science, neuroimaging, and computational modeling. He is also a member of Stanford’s School of Design teaching team, actively involved in design thinking principles and their relation to mental health. Dr. Saggar loves to meditate-- and even more, to talk about it. In line with his passion for meditation, and as part of his computer science doctoral work at the University of Texas at Austin, he developed a computational model of brain processes underlying meditation training. A meditator for 20 years, Dr. Saggar has presented his research and experiences to both public and professional audiences around the country.
