STEAM with Product Designer and Author Vicky Fang: Amusement Park for Dogs
In this interactive program for children in grades 3-5, product designer Vicky Fang (author of the Layla and the Bots series and other books) will introduce participants to designing in the real world. She will talk about what it's like to be a product designer, then teach everyone the steps to become one yourself. You will be designing an amusement park ride for dogs!
If you want to build a prototype of your ride, we will provide a supply kit to registered participants. After you register, pick up your kit at the children's desk in the library or schedule a pickup with our Grab and Go service and choose "STEAM with Vicky Fang Design Supply Kit" as other materials you are picking up.
Supplies are limited, but the kit is optional-- you can defnitely use found materials around your home, and a link to the pdf of the kit handouts will be sent with the Zoom link one day before the program.
